How CyberPull handles your personal data when you use CyberPull. We collect the minimum needed to run an account and send the alerts you ask for, and we take no payment at all.
1. What we collect
When you sign in with Google, Google gives us:
- Your name, email address and profile picture.
- A Google account identifier, so we recognise you on your next visit.
We ask you for, only if you want the feature:
- A Telegram chat identifier, if you connect Telegram, used solely to send the alerts you have switched on.
- Your alert preferences: the domains, experience range and remote setting you want to hear about.
We generate:
- A record of which alerts we have sent you, so the same role is never sent twice.
- Ordinary server logs, kept briefly for security and debugging.
2. What we never collect
We take no payment, so there is no card number, bank detail or payment credential of yours anywhere in our systems. If you choose to send a voluntary contribution by UPI, it moves between your bank and ours without passing through this site, and we learn nothing about you from it. Contributing is not linked to your account and changes nothing about it.
We do not ask for your CV, and we do not track which jobs you click through to. We run no advertising and no third-party analytics or tracking scripts.
3. Why we use it
- To create and run your account.
- To send the job alerts you have configured, over Telegram.
- To answer you when you contact support.
- To keep the service secure and working.
We do not sell your data, share it with employers, or use it for advertising. We do not tell any company that you looked at their listing.
4. Who we share it with
We use these processors, each for one purpose:
- Google for sign-in. We receive your profile from them; we send them nothing about your activity.
- Telegram to deliver alerts, if you have connected it. They receive the message and the chat it belongs to, nothing else about you.
- Mailgun to deliver an alert by email, for the older alerts that were set up that way. They receive your address and the message, nothing more.
- MongoDB Atlas stores our database and Vercel hosts and serves the site.
We also send job descriptions to Anthropic's API to classify them. Those are public postings from company career pages. No personal data of yours is ever included.
We may disclose data if the law requires it, or to protect the service against abuse.
5. Cookies
We set one cookie: a session cookie that keeps you signed in. It is essential to the service and cannot be turned off while you are logged in. We use no advertising, profiling or analytics cookies, which is why you are not asked to accept anything.
6. How long we keep it
Account data is kept while your account exists. Delivery records are kept so we do not message you about the same job twice.
When you ask us to delete your account, we remove your profile, your Telegram connection and your alert preferences within 30 days, keeping only what the law obliges us to retain.
7. Your rights
You may ask us to:
- Give you a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Correct anything inaccurate.
- Delete your account and its data.
- Stop sending alerts, which you can also do yourself from the alerts page.
You can do some of this yourself without asking us: alerts can be switched off and Telegram disconnected at any time on the alerts page. For the rest we will respond within 30 days of a request.
8. Security
Data is transmitted over HTTPS and stored in an access-controlled database. Sign-in is handled by Google, so we never hold a password of yours. No system is perfectly secure, but we keep the amount of personal data we hold deliberately small, which limits what any breach could expose.
9. Children
CyberPull is for people seeking professional employment and is not directed at anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has created an account, tell us and we will delete it.
10. Grievance officer
Under India's data protection rules you may raise a complaint about how your data is handled. We are between contact addresses, so there is no channel published here at the moment; one will be listed on this page. Once a complaint reaches us we acknowledge within 48 hours and resolve within 30 days.
11. Changes
If we change this policy, the date at the top of the page changes with it. If a change materially affects how we use your data, we will email you before it takes effect.
